The installation process is simple:
Step 1: Reheat asphalt pavement and stamp pattern into warmed asphalt;
Step 2: Place preformed thermoplastic material into pattern impression and heat again to fuse thermoplastic into the impressions in the asphalt.
DuraTherm installation is fast; a wheelchair-safe crosswalk can usually be completed and reopened in one day, substantially lessening the impact on residents, businesses and motorists.
